Goofy. shy. Compassionate. socially awkward.
Wife, Mother & Friend. That’s me, Mookie! I was raised in the church & accepted Christ as my savior at a very young age. However, due to my choices during my teen years and throughout early adulthood I found myself moving further and further away from Christ. It wasn’t until I was pregnant with my daughter, face down begging for God’s grace that I realized just how desperate I was for Jesus. My passion and my purpose is to share the love and grace I found in Christ with as many souls as I can. I pray that through transparency and humor I can not only share the joy of Christ but save souls along the way…

Papa and I have been married for 11 years. I was a 19 year old college student, waiting tables when we met. Prior to us dating, he told me I would be his wife one day...You can imagine how hard I laughed at his failed pick up line…but eventually we did begin to date. He swept me off my feet with his charm and affection. A year into our relationship we conceived Jaden. We married 2 months prior to Jaden’s first birthday on January 18, 2008.
I am grateful for Papa. He is my very own comedian, body guard, ATM machine, handy man and my very best friend.
Papa and I have been through a lot. Our relationship may have started as a fairy tale but by no means have our marriage been a story book romance. However, our love for one another is strong and our commitment to what GOD brought together is even stronger.

JBoogey! My oldest child and biggest life lesson. God has taught me so much from being his mother. Humility, forgiveness, patience and strength I never knew I had. God never makes mistakes and He meticulously orders our lives in a way that allows us to learn the things we need the most to carry us through any season of our lives. I am grateful for the love I receive from Boogey. His heart is pure. His kindness and loving spirit makes my soul smile…

I can’t put in words my relationship with JayceFace. From conception, I have felt an indescribable bond with him. His presence in my life reminds me of
Genesis 9:16 “Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”
He was the rainbow God sent after a storm in our marriage…through his conception, I learned that God can mend any relationship, any broken heart.
I often stop and stare at JayceFace because he reminds me of how far I have evolved as a person. With every passing glance, I see God’s love. I see His grace. I see His hope.

Journ was our heavenly surprise! She amazes me every day with her tough but sweet attitude. She has taught me the power of prayer and faith. Through her presence, I’ve learned the power in the name Immanuel, God is with us. His hands have been placed over her since she was inside of me. There’s something special about Journey, there’s a story in her name and a testimony in her eyes that will bring hell to its knees…
Immanuel walks with her, He talks to her and He will continue to be her guiding light.

Coco Chanel is the newest member of our family. I was somehow conned into getting her. Of course, I am the only one who cares for her most of the time and we really don’t like each other. I am waiting on God’s teachable moment for having her in my life…
